1. General Information
These Terms of Service apply to all services provided by The Resin Tree, a UK-based small business specialising in the preservation of flowers and keepsakes in resin. By placing an order with The Resin Tree, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
2. Nature of Flowers and Materials
- Flowers and foliage are natural materials that vary in colour, shape, and texture.
- During the drying and preservation process, some flowers may change colour, darken, fade, or become more translucent. These changes are natural and form part of the preservation process.
- Certain blooms (such as white roses, lilies, and hydrangeas) are particularly prone to browning or colour shift once preserved in resin.
- The Resin Tree takes the utmost care with each piece, but cannot guarantee that your preserved flowers will look identical to how they appeared fresh.
3. Artistic Interpretation
- Each resin piece is handmade and unique. Slight variations in colour, layout, and finish are normal and part of the charm of handmade work.
- Final composition and design will be carried out at the artist’s discretion to ensure the best visual and structural outcome.
- Minor surface imperfections, air bubbles, or small variations in clarity may occur and do not constitute a fault.
4. Care and Handling
- Resin pieces should be kept out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources to prevent yellowing or warping over time.
- Resin can scratch or chip if dropped or handled roughly. Please treat your piece with care.
- Cleaning should be done gently with a soft cloth — do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
5. Liability
- The Resin Tree cannot be held responsible for:
- Natural changes to flower colour, shape, or texture during drying or casting;
- Minor imperfections inherent in handmade resin work;
- Any damage to flowers that occurs during transport to us;
- Delays caused by postal or courier services beyond our control.
- If flowers arrive in poor condition, we will do our best to use them, but results cannot be guaranteed.
6. Deposits and Payments
- A non-refundable deposit of 40% is required to secure your booking.
- The remaining balance must be paid in full before collection or delivery of your finished piece.
- No work will commence until the deposit has been received.
7. Cancellations and Refunds
- Orders may be cancelled before your flowers are received; however, the deposit will be retained.
- Once preservation or design work has begun, refunds cannot be issued, as each piece is a bespoke creation made to your specifications.
- If a fault occurs due to a clear defect in materials or workmanship, please contact us within 14 days of receipt so that we can assess and resolve the issue in line with UK Consumer Rights law.
8. Delivery and Collection
- The Resin Tree will take every care when packaging and dispatching finished pieces.
- We use trusted couriers, but once dispatched, responsibility for loss or damage passes to the courier.
- Customers collecting items in person must inspect them before taking them away, as any damage after collection cannot be covered.
9. Use of Photographs
- The Resin Tree may photograph your flowers and finished pieces for use on our website or social media.
- Please inform us in writing if you do not consent to your images being used in this way.
10. Agreement
By providing your flowers and confirming your order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
