Can any flowers be preserved in resin?
Most flowers can be preserved beautifully, but some types work better than others.
Roses, chrysanthemums, thistles, orchids, and eucalyptus preserve especially well.
More delicate blooms — such as lilies, hydrangeas, or tulips — can sometimes bruise or change colour more noticeably, but they can still create lovely, unique results.
Will the resin yellow over time?
All resin can naturally change slightly in tone as it ages, but at The Resin Tree we use high-quality resin with built-in UV protectants to minimise yellowing and keep your piece looking clear for as long as possible. To help preserve its clarity, keep your piece out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources, as excessive UV exposure can affect any resin over time.
With proper care, your piece should remain clear and beautiful for many years, allowing you to enjoy your preserved flowers for a lifetime.
Will my flowers look exactly the same once they’re preserved?
Not exactly — and that’s part of the natural charm! Flowers may change colour, darken, fade, or become slightly translucent during the drying and preservation process.
Every piece is handmade, and small variations or air bubbles can occur, making your piece one-of-a-kind.
How long does the process take?
Flower preservation takes time and care. Depending on the season, design, and order volume, most pieces take 8–16 weeks from the date we receive your flowers. We’ll always keep you updated and let you know if there are any delays.
How do I send my flowers to you?
Once you book, we’ll send detailed packing and posting instructions.
In general:
If flowers arrive damaged, we’ll do our best with what we receive — results may vary depending on their condition.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes, a 40% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due before your finished piece is collected or delivered. Work won’t begin until the deposit has been received.
Can I cancel my order?
You can cancel before your flowers are received, but your deposit will be retained. Once work has started, refunds can’t be offered as each piece is a bespoke creation made just for you.
Can I choose the layout or style?
Yes! You can share your design preferences, and we’ll do our best to follow them.
However, final composition is at the artist’s discretion to achieve the most balanced and visually appealing result.
What is your Communication Process?
We’ll keep you updated every step of the way so you always know how your flowers are doing:
1. Booking & Confirmation
Once your slot and deposit are confirmed, we’ll send you full packing instructions and
our delivery address.
2. Flower Arrival
We’ll let you know as soon as your flowers arrive safely. If anything needs attention,
we’ll contact you before proceeding.
3. Drying & Preparation
Your blooms are gently dried and prepared. Some natural colour change is normal
and part of the process.
4. Design & Casting
We’ll arrange and cast your flowers in UV-protected resin. For bespoke designs, we
can share a layout photo before pouring.
5. Completion & Delivery
When your piece is ready, we’ll share photos and arrange collection or delivery,
including tracking details.
Will there be bubbles or imperfections in the resin?
Small air bubbles or surface variations can appear in handmade resin — they’re part of the process and not considered faults. Each piece is crafted with great care to ensure a smooth, professional finish.
How do I care for my finished piece?
Will you share photos of my piece online?
We love showcasing our creations on social media and our website. If you’d prefer your piece to remain private, just let us know — we’ll always respect your wishes.
